Filippo Venturi (Italy, 1980) is an award-winning sports and documentary photographer, internationally recognised for his work in reportage, editorial, corporate and commercial photography.
Since 2010, he has specialised in sports photography, working as an official photographer for several teams and athletes, including Romagna Rugby Football Club, Ravenna Football Club and others. He also collaborates with agencies and brands on sport-related advertising projects.
His works have been published in leading international magazines, such as National Geographic, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Financial Times, Vanity Fair, Geo, Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, Internazionale, La Repubblica, Il Corriere della Sera and La Stampa.
His works have been exhibited in Italy and abroad in exhibition spaces and festivals like Foro Boario in Modena as "New Talent" of the Modena Photography Foundation, MACRO - Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome, Somerset House in London, U Space in Beijing, Willy Brandt Haus in Berlin, Sony Square in New York City, Copenhagen Photo Festival, Kaunas Photo Festival, Voies Off Awards at Les Rencontres d'Arles, Photolux in Lucca, SI Fest in Savignano sul Rubicone, Riaperture Photofestival in Ferrara, PhMuseum Days Photo Festival in Bologna and Festival of Ethical Photography in Lodi.
He teaches photojournalism, sport and documentary photography.
In 2025, he was named “Photographer of the Year” by FIAF (Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche), becoming the youngest photographer ever to receive this prestigious award in the history of the prize.
In 2026, he is a photography lecturer in the Master’s programme in Journalism at the University of Bologna.
